I'm sure this question was posted before (no doubt about it), but I haven't found any recent threads on the subject.
I'm building a brand new rig (below) and I now need to pick a good monitor for it. I would first need to know if I'm looking for a 60Hz or 120Hz display.
The rig will be gaming only dedicated.
unless you want 3d vision or similar 120hz isnt needed and to be honest neither is a cf 7970... but if your going for all out overkill then 120hz will allow you to run higher fps and have vsnc enabled. but to be honest i think it would be a waste, as 60hz and 60fps will be enough for most games...
yes it would be an impressive setup that most would drool over but there isnt anything out there except x-plane 10 that would even bother that system. so most of your money would go on theoretical performance rather than actual performance.
