So my roommate and I are continually arguing about who left dirty dishes/pots/pans in the sink--I've had enough. I'm not really sure what I need to do this (software/hardware), but I want to install a video surveillance system in our kitchen to settle our constant disputes. I know it sounds crazy, but...Anyway, I want a recording device that plugs into the wall (does not need to be hidden) and will record 24/7. On that note, I'm not really sure how to store all of the video, either. Money isn't too much of an issue, but I also don't want to spend a few hundred dollars. Thanks in advance!

Looking at this ... I'm starting to think that placing cameras is not the right solution! Is it so serious that you have to spy on your roommate to settle the dispute? Here's a more cost efficient solution, each of you guys buy yourself your own dishes/pots/pans and clean your own damn set. If he's a freaking idiot and uses your stuff, you ditch the loser and get a hero!
