I was reading some posts about bottlenecking and read somewhere that certain monitors because of their resolutions will take more cpu or gfx card usage. My question is , obviously if u lower the resolution its less intensive on your computer, but if you have two screens with the same resolutions but one is a 32 inch and the other a 40 inch,
will the larger screen make the computer work more.

TLDR: Can a monitor in anyway bottleneck your computer? Or just its resolution, and monitor size doesnt matter?

The larger screen will not make the computer work more. Given the same refresh rate and color depth, the amount of work your PC has to do to form the image signal is based mostly around the resolution.

Higher resolutions make your computer work harder.

For example, a 720p resolution game or video on a 70" plasma screen puts less load on your PC than the same thing on a 23" set to 1080p.

Additionally, a 1080p resolution game or video on a 70" plasma screen puts the same load on your PC as a 23" set to 1080p. In this case the same video signal is generated and sent from the PC to the monitor.

The PC generates the video signal. The screen just has a certain capacity to display the signal.
