Hello,
I have 2 laptops each with an external monitor. How can I connect the computers/monitors such that when User A selects a file User B will see the same file and in reverse User B selects a file and User A will see the same file?

You could use remoting software such as the free version of VNC, this would allow the users to see each others desktops. You wouldn't need the external monitors for anything though.

agreed. desktop sharing would definitely work. in fact you could use your "external" monitor as the one to display the other persons "primary" monitor.

Teamviewer is a really impressive product too. I actually like that better.

Just have one of the people act as a host and have the other connect with the viewer. It's really good.
