Hello,
Canon Pixma 530 went dead, opened the sealed ckt board unit, tested for current (120V USA) and current is there but I'm not able to identify a blown fuse and am totally ignorant of the components on the board...I could send a pic if anyone can help me?
Cheers,
Harvey in NYC

Generally, the fuse is separate from the circuit board - that is if it has one. Here is the link to the manual: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/supp [...] AndManuals

Look for a reset button.

Thanx for your help!
after spending more time trying to find a fusible link, someone in my bldg listed a Canon iP4500 for $30 and I snapped it up. Even the ink cartridges fit, altho the number was different, when I snapped them in they worked. The MP530 is good for nothing but a boat anchor.
Appreciate you kindness in looking over my photos etc; hope you do save my phone number and get to NYC for a compotation (OE for "a drinking tghr" )
Cheers,
Harvey
