How do I get my HP printer to use only black ink? I have the computer printer set to black only but the colors keep coming up empty ( and costly I might add). Is there any way around this?

Try this. Instead of selecting the print icon, select File ---> Print and look at the print window. From here select 'Black & White' or 'Grey scale' depending on the printer options, Then send the file to the printer for printing.

For copy work, there should be a 'Black' button on the printer.
