Hi!
I'll like to have your feed back about USB to VGA device, is there one better than another?

And what about this one in particular?

The reason I'm interested in such device, is his ability to rotate his display at 180 degrees. But I'm not sure if it can rotate separately from the main monitor in clone mode.

Fortunately, to overcome this, the CAT5 KVM was introduced. This combines the good features of both PS2 as well as USB and is compatible with both types of peripherals over much greater distances by using Cat5e/Cat6 UTP or STP cables.

Thanks for your suggestion, but after having read some review and other information. USB Screen won't be fast enough for want I need. I mean Steam HD Video at full screen. I'll need to look at something else!

Well, I was looking for something that a standard video cannot do.
That why I'm looking at strange places.

That thing, is a way to have 2 cloned display but one of them is Rotated at 180 degres.

T'ill now the USB VGA seam the only way to do it ...

Many display managers from video cards can rotate and shift displays any way you can think of. Post your system specs, you don't need to look in strange places :-) There are people here with many many years of experience in doing this sort of stuff. I've worked for around 15 years in IS with high-end graphics from 3D DNA model viewing to $20,000 medical display quad monitor setups, and that's not counting what any of the other regular posters have worked with/done.

The only hitch may be if you are trying to do this from a laptop, then you'd have to spend a bit more money (couple of hundred more).

Well, my need are a bit more modest

I've try many video card from different PC, without success.

nVidia GT250 (Dual DVI)
nVidia 8400 GS (Dual DVI)_
Integrated ATI 3200 HD (HDMI + VGA)

all With the lastest Driver

But the Computer on witch I like it to set this, is a
Quad Code system
Windows 7 Home
Integrated ATI 3200 HD
VGA Output for the ACER T230H
HDMI Output for the Sharp Aquos 32'

I also try IRotate software
and UltraMon is to slow in clone mode

None of them would let me Rotate the display independently in Clone mode.
In extended mode there no problem, but in clone mode there nothing to do.

If you can found a solution for my problem I'll send you a beer or 2 or maybe a 6 packs

Have you tried just using the nVidia software to rotate the display? If you right-click on the nVidia icon, you can select the display and then select the rotation.

If UltraMon is the only way you can get it to work (and it maybe unless Pivot software works for you), you may want to try a faster video card, all the ones you tried are not very quick and the UltraMon interface is slowing it down even more. Try something in the Radeon 4650 range.

Either ATI or nVidia control Panel let me Rotated the two display individually

I've download and install Pivot software from Portrait.com, and at first sight it is not better then IRotate, I've try with the command prompt, once again without success. I've send them a email, and asked them if is is possible. I'm waiting the reply, maybe today or tomorrow. :whistle:

I've give a second try to UltraMon, with 2 PC, one QuadCore, 4 gig ram, with the ATI Integrated Video Chip, and the refresh rate isn't good enough, I reach maybe 15 or less FPS. (Evaluated by eyes)
I've also try with my PC at work; QuadCore , 4 gig ram, with nVidia 8400 GS, and that time the whole computer went in a terrible deadly lag, witch required me to reboot the computer.

The only and last thing, that give me hope, is by using 2 videos cards from different GPU chipset, like ATI with nVidia. But I don't want to spend money on two videos cards and a power supply, just to try it and to realize that it is not working. :??:

I was actually going to suggest 2 video cards, but you need to be able to set them up in one case Unless you have dual PCIe 16x slots, you will need to purchase a 1x video card. They do make those, I have purchased a 1x pcie nvidia quadro card.

Do you know if a ATI card can live with a nVidia, side by side, without problem?

I'll look for a PCIe 1x Card or maybe a PCI.

They will work together, I work with ATI/ nVidia setups at work all the time.
