Both my right headphone and speaker went out at the same time???

For some reason, I can't seem to get either my right headphone or speaker on my computer to play any music. But both my left headphone or speaker seem to be working fine. I have the volume set to both sides equally so I know that one side isn't receiving all the volume. I also just tested both the speakers and both the headphones and they all still seem to work, but how do I get it to play equally on the right and left side of both the speaker and headphone when they are already adjusted to do so?

bad/shorted port on your pc perhaps?

if its not a software issue that is.
