Hello, I have a Samsung LED TV, the speakers are not very good. I have AT&T Uverse with a DVR from them. I would like to get some speakers hooked up. Would a soundbar be the best. I do not want to get into a big production with a receiver. Can I run speakers connected to my DVD player? Any help would be appreciated.

I have never listened to any sound bar type speakers but they will probably sound better then the TV speakers. The sound bar will have to be amplified since the DVR doesn't have an amp in it to drive the speakers.
