Hello guys,

I have an xbox running with the hdmi audio converter (rca + optical) to some 2.1 computer speakers. I would like to upgrade this to some stereo monitors and a separate subwoofer. The stereo monitors (AV40s) don't have a woofer out. Is there any kind of adapter or amplifier I can get that would split either RCA, Optical or HDMI into my separate 2.1 setup?

its an ad bot... ignore henry.

i know for a fact that an av-receiver can do what you want. not sure if just an amp can or not. if you're on a budget then you might want to look at the ones offered by onkyo.

Thanks for the tip, I ended up getting an Onkyo amp + 5.1 package. Very pleased!
