hiyo,

recently bought an Korg Electribe MX. love it but dont dont enjoy the music writing as much as i used to enjoy writing music on Qbase.

so i've downloaded the Fruity Loops demo, and got myself a usb/midi connector.

when i plug the electribe into the pc thru usb cable, i get the happy connection sound, and installs new hardware.

on device manager/usb part, i think it comes up as USB composite device. location = Location 0(USB Midi ), and says its working properly.

however when i start fruitly loops, on the midi page (f10), there is no input devices acknowledged?

rescanning for midi devices does nothing, and all other settings are set as they suggest.

any idea's why this wouldnt be seen?

(lol, i made an account on the FL forums, but cant find the "create new thread" button??????)

any help appreciated.

It's possible that the computer security such as firewall or antivirus is blocking the installations.

how would i look into that problem?

been finding tons of stuff about logitec webcams causing this problem, but i have never installed a webcam on this pc, and the regedit stuff they all mention about lowerfilters and upper filters doesnt exist in my regedit.
