if WASD isnt working for you...

you could try the arrow keys with adjacent keys as your hotkeys.
this works great for rightys but may work for you also.

you could also try IJKL as keyboards have a little tab sticking up that can help you align your hand. sounds odd but might work.

You can buy a G13 game pad. Its a cluster a keys, similar to what you would have on the left side of the keyboard?

How about just using the mouse with your right hand? Its quite easy, I am left handed myself but sometimes you just have to use the right hand for stuff like scissors and mice.

If you are like me and want to play left handed I suggest you remap your key-bindings to what I did. It will require a certain type of keyboard (you need the Delete, End, Page Down keys to be in a single row above your arrow keys) for maxim efficiency. You will use the arrow keys for your direction with the following additions:

Rt-Ctrl = crouch, prone, alternate key bindings, etc (depending on game)
Rt-Shift = Sprint, crouch, alternate key bindings, etc (depending on game)
Rt-\ = reload, put weapon away, etc
0 numberpad = jump (space bar)
1-9 numberpad = 1-9 keys
+ key numberpad = 0 key
Delete = tab target, etc
End = pvp tab target, etc
Page down = etc (potions whatever)
Insert = etc (potions whatever)
Home = etc (potions whatever)
Page up = (potions whatever)

This can potentially give you 48 bindable keys by using the Shift + or Ctrl + functions. Did I mention 30 of these bindable keys would be within reach of your pinky while your hand stays on the directional keys? That’s right, I was basically getting the functions of a n52te Gamepad using my keyboard years before anyone even thought this gamepad up. If you play a game that allows these keys to be remapped you’ll find you will actually have quicker reactions than the majority of people that play. Now the real challenge will be finding a decent mouse that can be used left handed. My quest actually led me to your post lol.

That is a great set up and I use it myself, somtimes, except for the fact that when I bind my down arrow it also binds my number two key (with an arrow on it) down as well. Effectively the block of arrow keys once bound overwrite the number pad keys, not to mention once I try to bind del, end, P. down, P. up, home and insert. All these keys are on the number pad and over write each other as I make changes.

Have you turned on/off numlock? When numlock is off your up, down, left and right will work as those keys however, with numlock on they should work as numbers.

Yeah, I'm a left handed person myself too. But I use the computer just like those weird right handed people.

my keyboard controls are:
w=o
a=k
s=l
d=;
i=interact
p=reload
alt gr= crouch/prone
j=flash light/granade <-nads are mmb if theres a flashlight
@=knife <-sometimes mmb
rshift=sprint/steady scope

this is a uk keyboard layout.

theres still a few random keys in close proximity to the set up i use for those games that use even more keys than normal.

and too all you left handers if you can use a mouse with your right hand you aint left handed imo.

This is a bit late, but hopefully a left hander will get this... I've played online games a great deal, competitively at times, and without a doubt I think the best setup is to utilise the number pad on the right of the keyboard. The reason I don't suggest using the O K L ; method is because its difficult to land your fingers onto the keyboard without looking away from the screen. Using the normal arrow keys is painful after a time because you are forced to cramp the fingers and spread the thumb and little finger.

Map like this on the number pad:

W = 8
A = 4
S = 5
D = 6

Spacebar (jump) = 0
Crouch = Enter

Try placing your hand there now, its super comfortable!

Use 7 and 9 for enter or whatever .. I actually prefer Page Down, but to mirror the wasd setup, use 7.

I use the right arrow key for sprint, and depending on the game the down arrow key from melee.

There are plenty of other buttons around for grenades etc.
