ok so my roommate has this Coby MP600-2G mp3 player, and recently it just crapped out on her and am now trying to figure this out. when plugged into the USB all there is, is a white screen with a blue fancy "COBY" and nothing else, windows labels it as "Unrecognized Device" and that is currently the extent of its... events now.
-Unplugged it does absolutely NOTHING.
-its a pretty good paper weight.
-Support? there's a manual... thats ONE page...
-and drivers? none exist from a google search of about 30 minutes long.
-any other posts of same issue? tons, answers to said issues? magically somehow they were resolved but procedures to this resolution have been redacted for some reason.
-Current conclusion? COBY is a pathetic waste of money and a worse scamming company than any other shut down business out there... here's hoping to the death of COBY Businesses.
sorry for the dark post, but i need assistance on this matter, i searched everywhere and found no such answer to the problem. Was hoping to find a firmware flash option to maybe revive the device, but guess that'd be too easy.
i'm supposedly the electronics wizard in this house, but i must admit most of it comes from threads right here at TomsHardware.com (in case you missed it thats an epic compliment on you guys) maybe if its not too hard i'll change my opinion on the cheap junk from COBY.
