Voiceover Software..Which is right?

Forum Audio : Pro Audio Voiceover Software..Which is right?

Hello all,

I'm a radio DJ at my University. I am now getting requests to do voiceovers. I'm purchasing a good quality microphone and preamp to convert to usb for the computer at home.
THE MAIN QUESTION:
I will be using this for voiceovers with music and without. What software will allow me to remove voices from pieces of music or other clips and allow me to put my own into them? I don't want to break the bank, and I do not want overkill tools.
The basics:
Record my voice with best quality possible.
Be able to add in music; remove voices from those clips to replace with my own.
Possibly be able to tweak my voice?

Thank you ,

RB
