MP3 Player to Ceiling Speakers?

I've been looking everywhere for a particular product that I have in mind. I have to think it's out there... but where? Here's what I'm wanting:

In-Wall Amplifier with audio input (3.5 mm or RCA for that matter) and volume control

The back of the amplifier would have speaker-wire connections and would allow Romex home electrical wiring to tie in somehow for power. The closest thing I have found is an unavailable product from Pyle Pro (part number PVC8U in case you want to see it). The Pyle product looks right, even though I don't need an LCD screen for anything. I just want to be able to plug my MP3 player into it and have enough power to control the volume.

There are one or two items available in the UK that would work if they weren't designed for 240 volts. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
