im on a dell inspiron B130 running windows xp home edition. my screen was cracked so i cant see much. i have a desktop monitor that i was using as my primary display but it stopped working. when i choose the option to extend my desktop to the desktop monitor it only show my background. and when i choose to make it my primary display, it goes blank. but when i close the laptop, the icons will show up. that is a problem because i dont have a mouse or a keyboard. and im a poor college kid so i cant go out and buy a new anything rite now. i didnt change anything deliberately that i remember. it just quit working the way it was. how can i fix this?

If things were ok earlier, then you can try "System Restore" and go back to an earlier date when everything was working.
