Ok this topic has been making me think for a while so i was hoping for some help.

So i have a monitor but all i have i component output from my 360 (RGB if you needed to know)

What i'm trying to figure out if there this is at all possible to do from my xbox to my recording device to my monitor with HDMI VGA AND DVI. I'm just wondering if this will work so i can use this recording device without switching to one that will use hdmi will it be simpler to just go with the HDMI recording device instead of trying to make the component to VGA to work. was wondering if anyone has done this with any success as well thanks if anyone can help.

Well to answer my own question there are a number of ways to do this and the cheapest version is if ur computer monitor can accept RGB you can use just the component to VGA from your happuge to your monitor but u will not get any sound that is the down side.

The other way to do this is with converters that can be used with or without sound with varying prices and qualitys.

Some of these can be from analog to digital converters can will go into HDMI and so on i will link the 3 of the one i found which i can will fit many different uses Enjoy and have a nice day.
