about to buy a 3d bluray player...
should i ensure that it is hdcp compliant?

thats what i thought but the one i had my eye on - Sony 3D Blu-ray Player (BDPS480)- says it is not....

It does not mention that here on Sonys' site. Where did you see that? Might be a mistake if it was a sales site.

it was on futureshop's website (canada)

ended up spending an extra $50 and got a PS3 (even though i already have xbox lol) i was one of those ppl that thought xbox and HD dvd would win out over bluray...oops.
