Hey how's it going?

I have DISH and I have 1 receiver which is connected to both TVs, but I can watch whatever I want on either TV. And one TV is HD... sooo:

1 Receiver
2 TVs
1 TV is HD

I feel completely stupid, but how do I just switch the two TVs? One is for the bedroom and the other one is in the living room. But everytime I switch them, I can't get a signal?

Am I missing something? Thank you.

the receiver has 2 hdmi outputs?

if so my guess would be to just swap the active output on your receiver.

if that is what you are already doing..no clue.

In most cases when you plug an HDMI cable into the box it detects it and shuts off the other outputs. If you leave the non HD TV connected to AV outputs you would have to unplug the HDMI from the box or HDTV. If the box has an RF output try that on to the non HDTV and tune the TV to channel 3 or 4 depending on the box settings.
