Hello,
I just switched my tv to 1080 and sharpened the picture. The next day after watching alittle tv my tv turned off and would not come back on. After a day of trying to figure the problem out I found the first fuse on the power supply board popped. Would switching the tv to 1080 and sharpening the picture cause it to pop? Also if so can I put a higher voltage fuse in the power supply?

No to the first question and no to the second unless the manufacturer says to do so. You can try putting a good quality surge suppressor on the TV. Also check for any firmware upgrades that may be available.
