Asus g51jx-x1 $1299 at Newegg

Is there a $150 performance difference in games between the i5-430M and the i7-720QM ?

And will it make any difference in these games:

Star Trek Online
Dragon Age: Origins
Mass Effect 2
Bioshock 2

Thanks for your input

Spend the extra cash on the i7, as it will be well worth it in terms of gaming and general performance.

Go for the one with i7. When buying laptops, you should consider the best item you could get for your penny as you don't have that much liberty compared to desktop systems to replace/interchange parts once the chip inside is obsolete/slower than what you need.

Thanks for the responses.
My wife and I reevaluated our budget and decided that these were too much. I ended up getting a refurbished ASUS G71GX-RX05 from amazon for $869.
