Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has bought this specific computer and may have had problems with it's IPIEL-LA3 (Eureka3) motherboard. My display adapter driver has been failing, however I took the card to my local tech store where I bought it. They diagnosed the card and there seems to be nothing wrong when they stress tested it. So I am under the impression I may have a faulty motherboard. I have 2 new hard drives in the machine and HD Sentinel shows no errors, and I have run mem test and no memory errors either. Power supply is also brand new, I installed it yesterday.

My screen goes black, the machine halts and it says my display driver crashed, it then recovers and I am able to play games again like nothing has happened. This happens randomly, sometimes I can just be browsing the web and it happens other times when I am playing intensive computer games. Does anyone think a new motherboard + cpu is in order?

Thanks for your time.

Specs:

I have upgraded almost all the components from the p6402f over time, only the motherboard and ram are still left from the original machine.

Try taking out your GPU and run off the on-board graphics for a day and see if it still happens...

Is there any red lines or dots when this happens?

Problem fixed. The original intel chipset drivers that were available on hp's website didn't install properly, so I downloaded them from intel's site and now everything seems to be working correctly.

Thanks for the responses.
