I was on my laptop (HP Pavilion dv7-1135nr) earlier today and the screen just went blank. I was plugged in and the battery was a full charge (or as full as it will get since it won't go past 85%), and the fan wasn't running really hard. Like I said, I was just surfing the web and the screen went blank. I restarted it a few times but that hasn't done anything. It did this one other time this week. I really need to get a few files off of it, please help!

How old is your notebook? I would recommend contacting HP if the unit is still not displaying a screen. If you need any assistance in doing so please email me your product and contact information at psgsocialmedia@hp.com. Please include in the subject line Attn: Veronica-Tom.
