Hello,
I am a camcorder idiot. I still have one that requires a VHS tape to be inserted. Anyhow I need to record a golf swing to break it down at certain positions. What will work best for under $600.00. Thanks

You probably want to analyze the swing in slow motion. Camcorders are not ideal for this. What will work well is a high speed camera, and these are very expensive.

You can tryout a camcorder just to check results. I suggest that you borrow a camcorder and have a friend record your swing by setting the camcorder on a rigid tripod. If you are satisfied with the results on the video, you can get a camcorder from B&H Photo.
