Trying to install windows 7 on my packard bell but it only takes me as far as the microsoft corporation loading screen and sometimes it goes to the black screen with white cursor. I have tried f8 and boot from dvd. I have been in bios and changed my priority to disk drive to. I have been trying and retrying things for days. I am due to give in but I cant afford another computer at the moment. I am using my daughters laptop to type this.

Make sure your computer meets the requirements for Win7 and that all components are fully functional.

Had it working and then my computer crashed and now the recovery disk says it can't find any drivers. Was told that was something to do with bios settings but don't want to mess my computer up even more
