I dont know it is a problem of the disk controller of windows xp is messing up with my computer. Not long ago i installed a new seagate IDE HD on my computer, i put it on the same channel of an old Maxtor IDE. The problem was, and sometimes is, that windows xp said it wont recognize the file system on the maxtor disk. It used to be FAT32 and NTFS for the new seagate, every time i have to reboot to let windows re-recognize the seagate disk (as if nothing happened) but the maxtor one is left corrupted. Windows said it is not a XP compatible file system so it cant touch it! I always have to run chkdsk /f WITH some files lost

i dont know if ATA133 disks couldnt be on the same channel with ATA100 drives. Or it is a problem of drivers? Can anyone help? THanks in advance
