Hello,
I have a C750 Olympus camera. I also have a TCON 17(55MM) , 1.7X conversion telephoto lens. But the adapter ( CLA-4 ) for this lens is not available anywhere.
Can i use a 46mm to 55mm step up ring instead of CLA-4 adapter.
The c-750 camera has 45.6mm lens thread and the TCON 17 lens has a 55mm thread?
Will the 46 mm thread of the step ring fit the 45.6 mm lens thread of the camera?

Answer - If the thread pitch is the same it might work. Check carefully. Make sure you do not force anything.

The reason for this was i am unable to get a CLA-4 lens adapter fro Tcon 17. olympus lens for my c-750 camera.
Thanks for the advise.

If the threads are 'Class 1' threads, they will fit loosely and you will be ok. However, most commercial threads are 'Class 2' medium fit threads, and the threads with the tightest tolerances are Class 3 threads. (Machine design classifications).
