Am I able to upgrade my laptop's processor with either these T9300/T9500/T9800 processors?

You didn't list the make and model of your current laptop so it's not possible to say for certain.

I have the same question, my laptop details are DELL 1720; Chipset: Intel GM65 or PM965 Express Chipset.

Would there be any noticeable increase in speed or performance moving from the T7500 to T9500?

I am considering upgrading to a Solid State Drive and installing Windows 7, both of which I have determined would be cost effective measures to keep this laptop functional.

The CPU, not sure about that as they are still pricey!
