Dell's new i7's

Looking into getting the Studio 15, the Studio 17 or the STudio XPS 16.

I'm seeking advice on which one to get - my priorities follow

- Battery life and overheating. I can't find any information on whether there is overheating with these or what the expected life with the 9 cell is

- I'm typically a road warrior, but will use this primarily around the house for media, games, and some graphic programming. Game requiring the highest GPU would be flight simulator.

- shipping - preliminary dates look to be near 10/25. Any idea on how realistic those dates are

- budget is not the primary concern

- being that the i7's look to be a huge step ahead, I believe that this purchase is the right one and that I'll get much more life by going with the i7, rather than a core 2. Agree?

THanks for the help and consideration.

The difference isn't between the 4670 and 4650, its between the 4570 vs 4670.

Your answer is very vague, How much better. Is the 4570 adequate, Do you have any site reviews comparing the 2 in comparable systems at comparable settings?

Sorry,if so then 4670 is a clear winner, you can check some benchies in www.notebookcheck.net , HD 4670 performs significantly better than a HD 4570 and its worth the extra money for gaming

It depends on the games. The 4570 will be able to play most games at low settings and a few at medium settings. The 4670 however will be able to play them at medium settings and a few with high settings. If compared at the same quality settings, I'd venture to guess that the 4670 would net you between 20 and 30 FPS more over the 4570. In some games that's the difference between playable and smooth or choppy and laggy.
