Will be ordering my new gaming pc in less then two weeks and can't decide on a monitor. My gpu will be a HD 4850. I'm looking at this one.

This monitor is very popular on newegg. So I would think it's good... Says it's made for gaming but the reviews seem conflicted. Some say is looks great with their games and I have also read a review that said don't use for gaming. Mabye he just had bad hardware? If someone could put my mind at ease that would be great! There's just too many choices.

Opinions are subjective based on the quality you expect for the amount of money you pay.

For example, I personally would not touch that monitor because I tend to go for better panel technology with better color reproduction and viewing angles. I would prefer to spend $380 for the 22" HP LP2275W which uses a S-PVA panel instead of the cheaper TN panel used by the Acer.

The monitor has over 1,800 reviews with 92% Excellent/Good. So if the price is right then you might as well pull the trigger.

Of course, there's always a chance you might fall into that 8% group which gave it very poor to average.

$200 is a nice price range for me as I'm already spending money on the new computer. But I have considered going up to $250 or a little more if there is a big difference in quality. Then I am stuck with trying to decide which one to get again.
