Salutations,

I am in the market for a new LCD monitor, preferably something 24" or larger. I had my eyes on the Dell 2408 and Samsung's 245T, but I decided against it because of the high input lag. Can anyone recommend me some excellent +24" LCD monitors that are excellent for gaming? I'd like to spend around $600-$1000.

The Dell 2408wfp is, in my opinion, the best monitor for the price right now. I haven't really heard about input lag being an issue on this monitor, but it may on the 2408 (non-PVA). It is lower on your price range also, so I would go with that for $600.

Look at the 26" Planar PX2611W. I have one it's IPS but low latency (15ms).

FYI I've heard the 2408 has latency of 30-45ms

Dang, that's kind of high... I thought the reviews that I read said that the lag wasn't very noticeable though.

I have a Dell 2405 which is little laggy as well, but it's fine for anything besides twitch gaming. The dell looks better than the Planar in a dark room, but other than that the Planar is better at just about everything.

FULL HD! 1080p/1080i
1920x 1200 @ 60hz digital/analog
2 MS!! Responose Time (Grey to Grey)
HDMI 1.1
DVI
USB (So you can easily set up a 3 monitor set-up)
And of course a lot of Asus technology for crispier display!

Just too bad its not HDMI 1.2 or 1.3 for better DTS/THX but thats what your sound card are for..
Also has a built in 1.3M pixel webcam, dual array microphone and speakers.
