Upgrade Advice for a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600

Forum Laptops & Notebooks : General Discussion Upgrade Advice for a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600

It appears that the second NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 (256MB SDRAM VRAM, PCI-Express x16; Vista Home OS) I put in my Toshiba Satellite P105-S6227 has burned out after only 3 months of use, much to my dismay (the first one lasted approx. 21 months).

Can anyone offer any advice on alternatives or upgrades to this unreliable video card? Links would be very much appreciated.

If it helps to know this, the graphics-intensive programs I use include: Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter, Flash, and the occasional game.

Thank you for your time.

Hi raceKinney,

which replacement card did you finally purchase, and where? I'm in the same situation, like my Toshi 17" and would love to keep it. Were/ are you happy with your puchase back then?

Looking forward to your reply,
Lee
