I was wondering, what would be a really good sound card for gaming? My budget will be about $75-$125, and I've broken it down to a couple items on Newegg:

Or if anyone could point out to a better card, go right ahead! I listen to a lot music (rock and techno), and I play PC games, so that will have to be taken into consideration.

Thanks in advance!

The the Fat1ty card. But then don't forget to get a good set of head phones. I have been using this card for a couple months now. I am a serious gamer. You will be told you hack a lot with this sound card. lol. You can just hear everthing around you.

Hmm

I dunno abt elsewhere in the world, but here down under, you can get a Creative X-FI OEM low profile sound card for around $40, or $35ish USD. Its sans bells and whistles - remote control, IR, digital/optical module, front bay I/O etc), but does the job just fine, for games and music.
