Need a little bit more info. How do you have each of the HP systems configured and how much do they cost at these configurations? Anyone you are not willing to buy from?

Ok, so you want something with a 12 or 13'' screen that can handle light gaming and programming for around 1K? Let's see what I can find.

The Dell XPS M1330 can be configured with a 2.2ghz Intel CPU, 4gb of RAM, Vista 64-bit and a GeForce 8400 for about $989

For the money, I think it's between the Dell and the 13.3'' HP. The 12'' HP is powered by a much slower AMD CPU and I doubt the integrated graphics card's ability to play games decently.

I'm not sure. I think I looked at the ones on HP's website, and that wasn't the model, lol. Would you mind providing links to the HP's you are looking at?
