Hp warrenty pay for 3 year only get 2year

my pc touchsmart had no warrenty left,,,,ran out,,,,,,i deside to look for hp warrenty,i came a cros the hp care packs which was for 2 year and 3 year,,nothing in the small print to tell me any different
so i orderd 3 year care pack,,,,ok recieve reicpt email confirming i have just paid for 3 year accidentel repair
sound no problem my machine coverd....when i check my product details im only getting 2 years,,hp trying to convince me
this is hp correct prosedure,,,,you pay for 3 year warrenty at the cost of £170,,,,,hp tells me ive only got 2
any one shed any light on this subject,,,,,or have i suddenly become retarded

I have seen where some MFG'r will sell you a 3 yr. extended service but what they don't tell you is the first year basic coverage runs at the same time as the first year of the extended service. So you only really get 2 yrs. extended. Hope this helps.
