I'm thinking about buying Samsung's galaxy player 4.0 which has wifi capability.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/m [...] /XAA-specs

I know if I use this at work, I will barely be able to get a signal (I've tried it with other co-workers' phones).
I also have been reading a lot on how to turn your phone into a wifi hotspot.
This samsung galaxy player is not a phone, but would I be able to turn it into a wifi hotspot or is that only
possible with phones?

thanks

It's possible if the device has that option in the manual. Does it? If not, then you can't.
