Internet access denied on wireless

Hello,
My daughter's laptop has worked fine for over a year but now she can't log in to the internet except in the dorm. It shows her network is connected here at home and at a local coffee shop but then when you actually try to use the browser it says internet access denied? Help please ..... (temp files? etc)

Check Proxy settings (need to be off probably when on a public network). What is the exact error that comes up? Does it actually say "denied"? If that's the case, there may be some security software running that's blocking access outside of the school network.
