Diablo ii lod windows 7

Hello,
I have Win 7 32 bit on a laptop but when I play Diablo II LOD I get a black border on the right and left side of the screen. The games plays just fine. Any one has any idea. Blizzard support team had me try several things but without any luck.

Diablo was not designed for widescreen display. This is the standard 4:3 aspect ratio. You can add -windowed and -nofixaspect to the shortcut target after the "'s which will then allow you to maximize the windowed screen, stretching it to fit. This however does not give you any actual larger view of the battle field, just a distortion of old graphics. I recommend just playing as is and ignoring due to when windowed, windows gama and display settings tend to make diablo look like crap.
