Can i locate my lost phone

I lost my droid. It probably has no charge left. How can I locate it's location?

If it's off, you can't locate it using electronic methods. Look around the area you lost it.

Last time when the phone was in the on state that location can be easily traced by contacting the service provider that is the mobile company, they might also have measures/ways to trace out the current location of your phone.
