Hello,i have a sony bravia smart tv it is connected to the internet by its own wireless connection i want to use my lap top through this wireless connection in its input menu it has a pc connection which is set to auto but the tv is not recieving any signal i have checked that the settings are the same for the computer as the tv am i missing something? does the laptop need to have its settings changed i have even tried connecting the laptop with an ethrnet cable this didnt work?

You can't use the TVs wireless connnection to connect your laptop through. Probably what the TVs "pc connection" is wither the VGA cable or if it's in the wireless options, its to connect the TV to a computer that has Internet Connection Sharing enabled. You need to hook up the laptop to the wireless router you have, unless you are explaining something wrong in your post.
