how to format a memory card when it is write-protected

Register or log in to remove.

Unplug your Memory Card from any devices.
Look at the SD card, on it, you should see a little piece of the side, there is text that says lock... here is an image:

Flip it to the opposite side, put the SD card back into the card reader, now try it and it shouldn't be write protected.
