Connect to whatever internet service you have there, send email. Same as anywhere else. This all really hinges on you finding an internet connection where you are, need to do some research.

What hang-the-9 said. As long as China isn't blocking the email service. I'm not sure if they let you access Gmail in China, as I know the country has been having issues with Google and vice versa. If you use Gmail, I'd recommend installing Teamviewer on your home computer (assuming you are leaving one at home) and when you're on your laptop in China, remote-control your home computer to access Gmail in the U.S., then you can see what your U.S. computer's screen says on your laptop in China. Hope that wasn't too convoluted!
