Hi all,

I was just curious if any of you had either good or bad experience purchasing a replacement battery for you laptop. I need to get a replacement battery for my parents systems. a t61 Lenovo tablet and a Dell laptop.

i have all the part numbers, voltages, etc i need to order the parts.

I am just looking for a suggestion on where, or where not, to purchase them from.

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

This depends on what your qualifications for purchase are. If you want to save money and are OK with it possibly only lasting a year or so before starting to charge less or fail, get one of the cheapo Chinese made stuff fom ebay. I think the T61 batteries are about $30 from them.

If you want a much higher reliability (although not guaraneed, there is a reason batteries are usually only covered for 1 year when the rest of the laptop is usually 3 years), get an OEM model, which would be close to or over $100.

If it was me, I'd get the cheapo and buy another one when it failed.
