6months ago I was on Holiday in Thailand, and while we were out on a tour I spotted another tourist wearing a football shirt where the main sponsor was Nintendo. I've done a lot of hunting around, but can't find out who the team was. The guy wearing it looked like he could possibly have been Japanese if this helps any?

Any ideas?

You are right, they did. I am pretty sure it was a Prem / Champ team actually...someone most people would recognise and it would have been around 1998-99 when Dreamcast sponsered Arsenal.

I'm definitly 100% on it being an English team...i can even picture the logo on the shirt in my head but i just cant make out the shirt GAAHH!

Edit: its bugging me now so im googling when i should be working. Found interesting slightly related article here....kinda history of consoles thing.

Yeah, I clocked that one too. Couldn't be bothered to read it though.

This is gonna drive me nuts.

And it would have been league 1 rather than championship in 98?

mmmm i stumbled across a comment on some blog that referred to Nintendo sponsoring an Italian team.
Then i just used something like "nintendo sponsor italian football team" in an image search and it threw up the Kyoto shirt as well.

Fun game, gimme more :D
