More Information

The shooters on ps2 all pretty much suck except Timesplitters which is a year old and pretty much dead.... So, I'm switching over to PC gaming.

I know I'm just another n00b asking some question that has probably been answered 20 times, but hey.... throw a dog a bone

Where should I go to get the most out of my $750?

I'm thinkin the dell E510 ($720)
- intel dual core 2.8ghz processor
- 160 gb HD
- windows media center
- Ati Radeon x600 SE (256 mb)
- Microsoft word / others
- dvd burner
- 19 inch flat panel
- 3 yrs PC-cillin

I always hear about how the intel processors pale in comparison to the AMD, but I can't really find any vendors that sell them for anywhere near the price of Dell. (I'm not even considering Gateway after my brother bought his gateway....)
