Hi there, I've been doing a lot of research throughout websites lately trying to find a decent laptop.
This is mainly for school, but I will have long breaks in between classes so I kind of want something that will keep me busy during that time (I'm a commuter).

I'm not looking for something that will play crysis or anything like that. Mainly I want it to handle WoW with decent fps (like around 30ish?). Other games I would play on it would be a lot older like the sims and Age of Empires 2.

Reading around I saw that the integrated intel GMA x3100 isn't a bad choice for games like WoW, and the 8600 nvidia is a lot more expensive. So I'm on a tight budget, especially with NY state internet taxes.
One laptop that I really have an eye on is the Acer Extensa EX5620-6266 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834115470

With Taxes and everything its about 780

Now I was looking around for the same type of laptop and found one on circuit city for far less and I'm wondering if it is capable of handling what the previous one can.

Other than the hd, ram, the only difference that I see is the processor is 1.73ghz and its Pentium Dual Core not Core 2 Duo. It also only has 1MB Level 2 cache instead of 2 for the other acer.

Can anyone help me out on this one? Any insight on the x3100 or if you can suggest a laptop for around the same price range?

Thanks a bunch.

i wouldn't recommend anything intel to game. even in WoW, it can get maybe 24-25fps. you will notice lag very much, and you will notice the lack of detail.

at least get an 8400, if not the 8600. if you are willing to deal though...the intel will work.
