Well I have a very simple, but very very bad problem...

I have an Acer Aspire 5610z laptop, and all of a sudden when trying to power it up, it turns on for about 30 seconds, you can hear (and I can see) the CPU fan turning... then the fan just stops, and nothing boots up, nothing on the screen at all...

Can anyone provide some help here?

PS - I opened up the laptop and tested the hard drive in my normal computer and it seems to be fine. I also tried using switching the sticks of ram around, using only 1 stick of ram, etc. and the memory seems to be fine.

thanks for any help!
