I'm mainly looking at the really nice video card, which I believe is benchmarked as being more powerful than any other that I've seen in this price range. However, the 2ghz intel processor is also nice. For some reason I cannot find a 15.4 inch laptop with the same specs, and I would think it would be more expensive to fit all of this in tighter. Should I just get this laptop? I have a $1k firm limit and this is the best I can find. Any recommendations would be great.

What are you thinking is making that laptop so much better? If you think it's the HD 3650, guess again. The 8600m GT is pretty much dead on with the 3650 and the 9500m GS is slightly above both. The first laptop jonyb linked to would pretty much be the equivalent to the one you linked yourself. The Sager NP2092 would be a little more expensive but would also be a good alternative.
