I recently got a gateway P-6860FX laptop with vista 64bit installed norton internet security. I can access the internet and browse the web and play online, but i cant get onto itunes store or download windows updates and im pretty sure that i cant even download updates for the norton security. I have another vista system thats non64 and on the same network. It can access the itunes store and windows updates.  
Does it matter if it is wireless?
Does it matter if it is 64bit?
Does it matter if I have dsl?
I can get it on my desktop, why not my laptop?

Is AOL your ISP, because I couldn't update iTunes or sign up for an iPhone on a PC connected via AOL.
 
Try turning off any third-party firewall you use, and enable the Windows firewall in the Control Panel before going online, because it could be blocking updates.

i did try to turning off all firewalls and other virus protection software and i dont have aol i got att

Ill take any advice you can give. Do you think geek squad at best buy can solve my problem?
