how do i restore my computer to factory settings

If it's like most of the kit they made then press F10 when the system is just powering up (before any Windows logos). The menu that appears should allow you to restore to factory settings.

WARNING: Doing this will delete ALL data held on your existing XP install and also require you to re-install all the security updates. Please ensure you have a backup of all your data before you try this!!!
